Painting a table can sound scary! But do not let it scare you! It is important to use the proper paint when painting a table so that your paint does not peel away or chip later. I recommend using chalk based paints (mineral based paints work well too!) to paint tables. They adhere very well to all surfaces. I have painted many tables and have had the most success with this type of paint!

- Annie Sloan (her quality of paint is unbeatable. She was the first to reinvent “chalk paint”)
- Jolie (A new line that is extremely close to Annie Sloan and their waxs are non-toxic)
- Dixie Belle (An affordable line of mineral paint. Works well.)
- Valspar (Can be easily purchased at Lowe’s!)
- General Finishes (A classic paint company that produces great products.)
These are my favorite paints for painting tables. I have had success with all of them for myself and for clients! I have never had anyone call me a couple years later with “Hey! My table top is peeling!” These brands are my go too. They all have worked for me and I hope they can work for you too!
Have you had success with painting a table before? If so What paint did you use? I would LOVE to hear! Do you have a go to paint that was not mentioned above? If so, what is it!?!?! Share the love!!
