I want to share with you all a product. It is a paint stripper that you can use INSIDE your house! Yes! Inside your house!? How amazing is that! This paint stripper is great for a super hot summer day or a freezing cold day when you’re unable to do a project outdoors. What is so fascinating about this product is the fact that it’s made from soybeans! Yes, soybeans. Who knew soybeans could remove layers and layers of old paint?! I’m excited about this product so I wanted to share it with you all!

This Blue Bear Soy Gel is low VOC. When I used it I could hardly notice any smell. Which is much different than your normal paint strippers. Because of its low oder you can also use this paint stripper inside your house!
I recently used the Blue Bear Soy gel on a project that had 6 layers of old paint. (It was a really old piece of furniture and I think everyone In the family put their own favorite paint color on it one time or another. 😉 Here is a picture below of the process.
A Couple tips is you ever find yourself in a place of having to strip furniture
- Apply paint stripper in a THICK layer
- Let paint stripper set over night (you really want the stripper to be able to work. This will make the paint removal easier for you.)
- PRO TIP: Cover paint strripper with plastic bags. (what will happen is the stripper and old paint will stick to your plastic plastics! And the old paint will peel off the project instead of you having to use a putty knife. 🙂 I have also ready others use CLING WRAP instead of plastic grocery sacks. They say that works just as well! 🙂
