I am loving the Jolie Home line of Paint! It is beautiful and goes on smoothly to furniture. It is a high quality paint that is odorless and nontoxic and quick drying!!

What I love about Swedish Grey is that it is so light! It is almost a silver grey! One of a kind. It is absolutely beautiful. If you’re a looking for a classic yet unique grey this is the grey for you!

Supplies Needed to Paint a Chest of Drawers with Swedish Grey

  1. Jolie Swedish Grey
  2. Jolie Clear Finishing Wax
  3. Your favorite paint brush. This is mine. 🙂
  4. Wax Brush
  5. Shop towels (to wipe off any excess wax)
  6. OPTIONAL – Water
  7. OPTIONAL – Spray mist bottle

To begin, make sure your furniture project is clean. Lightly wipe down furniture with a shop towel and water. I generally wipe until my shop towel comes up clean and I see no more dirt on the shop towel.

Once Furniture is clean, apply a thin coat of Jolie Swedish Grey to the furniture. I start from the bottom and work my way up. 🙂 When first coat of Jolie Swedish Grey has dried you are ready to use your mist bottle with water to reactive the paint before you apply your second coat. This just helps for a smooth blended finish that is brush stroke free. It is optional! This is a tip I learned from Brushed By Brandy! And it works great! 🙂

When second coat of paint is dry you are ready to lightly touch up any spots that may need a bit more paint. After you have checked over your work and you love it, give yourself a pat on the back! You did it! YAE! All that is left is sealing your project! Seal your project with Jolie’s Clear Finishing wax with a wax brush. Jolie’s wax is also odorless! Make sure to always use a wax brush when waxing. Do not use a regular paint brush. You’ll get a better application with a wax brush!

PRO TIP: You can warm up wax in the microwave for an easier application! Make sure to put it in a microwave safe bowl.
